Background
The Event
The International Software Testing Qualifications Board (ISTQB) has been set up to support a single, universally accepted, international qualification scheme, aimed at software and system testing professionals. An ISTQB certificate provides an internationally recognised qualification, which demonstrates a level of competence and professionalism.

The three day accredited course is leading up to the "Foundation Certificate in Software Testing" exam and complies with the requirements as set by ISEB and ISTQB. This course is administered by the Centre for Software Engineering on behalf of Improve Quality Services BV.

Who should attend?

This course is aimed at:

  • Anyone interested in learning more about the fundamentals of software testing
  • Testers, users and developers who wish to improve their knowledge of structured testing and wish to obtain the ISTQB Foundation Certificate.

This course builds on many of the concepts introduced at the course "TMap - a structured approach to software testing".

The Exam
The Foundation Certificate is awarded to those who pass a written one hour multiple-choice exam which is set, moderated, marked and invigilated by the Information Systems Examination Board (ISEB). The exam takes place on the third afternoon of the course.

Course Presenter
This course will be presented by Sarah Farrell of CSE. Sarah is an ISEB accredited Training Provider and has extensive experience in the software industry, specialising in the area of software testing and inspections. She works with many companies to help them to improve their testing practices.

Duration
3 Day Training Course 9.30 a.m. - 5.00 p.m. (Registration 9.15 a.m.)

All participants who wish to sit the examination are advised to set aside some study time each evening.
