>/Process

Process services apply to the introduction and improvement of a process approach to business. While control is of interest to companies from an early stage and smaller size, formal process improvement is typically of concern to more mature companies, both
  • technology companies and
  • in-house IT departments of companies,

where they have experienced a key organisational development, and/or wish to improve on past experiences.

A number of process frameworks,
in particular ISO 9001:2000 and SEI's CMM®/CMMI® and ISO 15504 (SPICE), are considered. Their principles are employed in ensuring an effective process for software work, and a graduated improvement in this process in line with the special demands on the software development function as the software products evolve.

Examples of the areas of service are:

1. process improvement using CMM®/CMMI® or SPICE

2. quality system implementation using ISO9001

3. process modelling to address specific process areas such as testing, requirements engineering, and project management

4. development of skills on modern approaches to test management, requirements management, and project management
