TRI-SPIN - Trans Ireland Software Process Improvement Network - was a project funded by the EU within the European Software and Systems Initiative (ESSI) . Managed by the Software Industry Federation in Northern Ireland , with partners MARI (UK) Ltd in Belfast and CSE in Dublin, it provided support for software process improvement throughout the island of Ireland, through 5 major lines of action:

• mentoring
  
• focussed process improvement
  
• interest groups
  
• experience dissemination
  
• industry advisory group
  

TRI-SPIN published Case Studies of successful software process improvement, which filled a significant gap and will be of widespread interest, as well as Newsletters. These are available electronically, or the TRI-SPIN partners would be delighted to provide printed copies in bulk quantities at a price covering the marginal cost of production and distribution (contact CSE by email admin@cse.dcu.ie)
